Getting Attention with Your Resume or Curriculum Vitae

Wondering if your carefully worded resume will rise to the top of the HR pile? Today’s recruiters, human resource professionals and search committees often use ATS software to sift through the many applications and resumes received for any given position. As an applicant one of the most important ways you can ensure your resume makes it to the hiring manger or search committee is to identify key words that pertain to your field, industry or convey your specific experience. By clearly communicating skills and attributes that match up with the job description to which you are applying, you will stand a better chance of being recognized as a potential candidate.

First off I want to say superb blog! I had a quick question in which I’d
like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to find out how
you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing. I’ve had
difficulty clearing my thoughts in getting my ideas out.
I do take pleasure in writing however it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes are usually wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas
or hints? Cheers!

Thank you for taking the time to leave positive input; your comment is very much appreciated! The link you included took me to GoodReads, which I thoroughly enjoy, but we would really like to read your blogroll. I’m certain would also enjoy chatting with your previous roomate. Creating clear, concise and meaningful content is hard work but easier when one has experience with the subject matter. Thank you for your compliment.

How long does a copyright last on newspaper articles?. . If a service copies newspapers articles and then posts it in a database on the Internet, is there also a copyright on the Internet content?.

Reply

If a company owns a newspaper it has up to five years to apply for a copyright on content. Often articles are written by “work for hire” employees and these articles can be copyrighted for up to 95 years. It is usually a good idea to cite your source when quoting someone else’s work and give them credit for their intellectual property.
